The expansion champion
SHD expanded from eight managers to twelve in Season 2. Gary arrived with Mathieu, Cindy and Louis, joining a league still using its original overall-points format.
Gary Bettman won the Season 2 championship, with Julien finishing runner-up. Gary became champion in his first SHD season and was the only member of that four-manager expansion class to remain after the season.
His Season 3 follow-up brought 13 regular-season wins and 10,696.40 points before a 0.60-point quarterfinal loss. The result did not erase his place in SHD history: the expansion manager who immediately became champion.
